Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for equipment and/or facility maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting machinery and equipment. The Maintenance Technician will be expected to continuously monitor and investigate improvements to equipment and/or maintenance procedures to ensure maximum uptime and effectiveness.


Duties:

· Preventive Maintenance of Equipment

· Electrical / Hydraulic / Pneumatic Repairs

· Troubleshooting Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems

· May include fabrication (machining) of custom tooling/equipment

· May include calibration of test equipment

· Maintain consumables and spares availability

· Chemical Handling and Fluid Analysis

· Installation and commissioning of new equipment

· Selection and sourcing of production/facility equipment

· Continually improve the preventive maintenance and equipment monitoring activities

Wages:
$25.00 to $30.00 / hr

Required Skills:

· Ability to read and comprehend hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical circuit diagrams

· Basic mathematics skills

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs

· Ability to work in cramped spaces – may require crouching, kneeling, etc.

· Must be able to operate a computer

· Attention to details

· Ability to work with hands

· Mechanically inclined

· Welding experience an asset

· Instrumentation and controls experience an asset

· Lathe / Mill Experience an asset

 Education:

· Minimum grade 12

· Preferred diploma in Electromechanical Technology or equivalent maintenance experience

*Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
